The form lists fraud or scams, harassing calls, illegal dumping, lost property, theft, theft from a vehicle, vehicle or accessory theft, and vandalism among its options. It asks for contact facts, incident date, a narrative, and conditional property or vehicle details. This system creates a report request; it is not a search for existing criminal histories.

Prescott Criminal Records in JustFOIA
The City Clerk now routes public-record requests through a JustFOIA portal. The city's page also keeps search links for agendas, minutes, ordinances, and resolutions. Existing requests made through the former NextRequest service remain available for responsive documents, so an older request may be found there even though a new request starts in JustFOIA.

A released person may not be listed, while a booked John or Jane Doe may remain unidentified until the detention fingerprint process is complete. Prescott has more than one local court. Prescott City Court lists 928-777-1200 and prescottcitycourt@courts.az.gov at 120 S. Cortez Street. Prescott Justice Court uses the same courthouse address and lists 928-771-3300 and prescottjc@courts.az.gov. Both differ from the Yavapai Clerk of Superior Court, which holds felony files.

Call with the citation or case number when possible. City Court handles city matters, while Justice Court handles cases within its statutory precinct jurisdiction. A case may instead belong to Prescott Justice Court or Yavapai Superior Court. Match the court name on the citation, notice, or statewide search result before requesting copies.

Prescott is the Yavapai County seat, so city and county record counters sit within the same local geography. The historic courthouse at Cortez Street is tied to older files, while the Criminal Justice Center on Prescott Lakes Parkway houses criminal divisions and related services. This density can mislead a requester. A Prescott Police report remains a city file. A county sheriff report remains with YCSO. A City Court docket is not a Superior Court file. The Clerk advises that pre-1992 Superior Court records should be requested at the courthouse record counter, which makes the physical counter important for historical research.

Timing creates gaps between systems. A police report can predate a court filing. A current inmate listing can end after release. A court outcome can reach DPS later. Use the Yavapai County criminal-record overview for the county and state layer, while keeping city report requests with Prescott.
Prescott Police Accident Record Route
Prescott's online incident form is not used for vehicle accidents. Existing crash reports instead route through the police department's accident-report vendor link to BuyCrash. A requester should have the crash date, location, involved driver information, and report number when known. If the collision is still in progress or needs an officer, use emergency or non-emergency police contact rather than a records site.
This route applies to crashes investigated by Prescott Police. A YCSO crash or Arizona DPS highway collision belongs with the agency that investigated it. Arizona DPS states that it does not retain local or county incident records merely because they occurred in Arizona. Confirm the agency on the exchange sheet, citation, or report number before paying for a copy.
When Prescott Criminal Records Are Missing
First confirm jurisdiction. An incident outside Prescott city limits, at Embry-Riddle, or on a state highway may belong to another agency. Next confirm record stage.
